maybe export the contents to CSV from wherever generated the .vcf files?  Is that an option?

I believe Kontact can import .vcf files (Vcards).

Also for Thunderbird look at this addon:

(I don't know its current state though, try it at your own risk :P)

do not know how to do it... i got it as a downlodable file...
