McAfee captured?

http://gizmodo.com/5964900/report-john-mcafee-captured-after-weeks-on-the-run

Now, why do you think McAfee is guilty? Just because the murder victim had filed a formal complaint against him asserting that McAfee had fired off guns and exhibited "roguish behavior?

Or, why do you think he's innocent? Just because he's such an outrageously romantic character?

He has a point though: guilt has to be proven; innocence hasn't. And he should be considered innocent until proven guilty, regardless of what mind-altering drugs he might or might not have experimented with.

You are right Bald Brick, that is the theory in law. The fact that they ran away may affect judge decisions, as an example probably he will have to wait in jail the end of the trial.

The only thing they have mentioned is circumstantial evidence but he escaped and he will have to say why in a convincing way.
I shall pass this way but once;
any good therefore that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show
let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

He sure is one odd dude  - or as Belize’s Prime Minister Dean Barrow said McAfee is “extremely paranoid, even bonkers."

 ;D ;D

It would be even funnier except the person he allegedly killed is being forgotten in all of the current boo-hoo-rah

The technology pioneer said that while in Guatemala he faked a heart attack in order to buy time so his attorney could file a series of appeals to prevent his deportation to Belize.

"I'm happy to be going home," McAfee said to reporters before departing from Guatemala City airport. "I've been running through jungles and rivers and oceans and I think I need to rest for a while. And I've been in jail for seven days."

"I'm just going to hang in Miami for a while. I like Miami," McAfee told Reuters. "There is a great sushi place there and I really like sushi."

McAfee claims that if he agrees to questioning by the authorities in Belize, they will kill him. He accuses the authorities there of corruption.

However, Belize’s Prime Minister Dean Barrow said the McAfee is “extremely paranoid, even bonkers."

They need to take is sorry butt and stick it on a plane and send him back to Belize to stand before his accusers or to answer to the charges filed against him.!  He is nothing more then a criminal on the run. The US was wrong for allowing he back into our country. This only makes the USA look two faced.

No they would need a conviction first - right now it is going to testing.

I read it as the first stage being hardware acquisition.  ;D

The bizarre tale of John McAfee, spymaster
The craziest story of this last week? It's an easy call—John McAfee's self-told tale of becoming a spymaster in Belize, passing out malware-laden laptops to officials and overseeing a ring of 29 "operatives" who distributed and monitored the computers.

What sentence will he get?

A zero-day exploit + virus and tell him he's got 15 minutes to scan, clean and reboot before it gets embedded deeply in his brain for all time (and he can't phone and beg Intel for assistance  ;D )
