If this was it's only purpose, I would agree.  ::)

It's a 7.62x39 Legion Saiga IZSL-332C with a Folding Stock that accepts A-K Magazines.

I agree with T6

Due to the last events in Mexico I'm looking for a good body guard. Are you interested?   ;)

Or maybe a little business training body guards   8)

I loved when during Basic they took us out to the range.  Several idiots thought they were all  that and would be ace the range.  Most of them barely hit the target and one had his rifle taken from him for endangering the DI.  I, the quiet one, scored the best with all in the target most near the bull.

Sometimes firing a weapon means taking it slow and finding the proper 'feel' of it.

+1

As with any "weapon" education is the most important part.

Learning how to use a gun or a knife is more about how NOT to use it.

Only after you have perfected how NOT to use it, do you start to learn how to "use" it.  ;)

If you don't know how NOT to use a knife or a gun, do not attempt to use one.  ;)

That picture reminds me of the early M16 used in Vietnam with the open flash suppressor that was frequently used to open cases of C-rations.

It just shows that if you put people in the field with the tools to kill but not the tools to eat, they will use the weapons creatively to solve the problem.

Unlike many, I loved C-rations ... well all but one. The nickname of which can not be used on this forum.

I wouldn't necessarily say I loved them but C-Rats were not half bad. Ham and Mofo's ThirdOfSix ?  the worst I remember. Was quite fond of beef and rocks myself, not to mention real fruit with juice, not that freeze dried crap. Trioxane bars worked great. Good luck heating a MRE with out that stupid pouch.

Personally I always liked SOS myself ;) and have been known to make it myself from time to time ;D ;D

Yes, I was talking about ham and lima beans.

It was not so much that I really loved the c-rations, it is just that the alternative was pretty bad. The mess hall food at that particular unit was not good at all. Those of us who worked at night when the mess hall was not open ate c-rations instead. It was really a step up from the food and the sour reconstituted milk in that mess hall.

I really did love the pound cake with peaches over it though.

Actually, SOS is one of my all time favorite foods. My Mom fixed it a lot when we were growing up. This was probably due to my Dad being in the Navy during WWII.

The only problem with SOS is that there are many different versions of it so you never know which version someone is talking about. During different time frames, the recipe changed and was even different in different branches of the military.

Officially, it is or was known as chipped beef on toast. It was basically a white sauce with chipped beef or hamburger or sausage or whatever was handy.

I make mine with "dried beef" flour and milk. Use Hamburger occasionally but don't consider it to be "sos" , just hamburger gravy.
