Upon installing the latest (2012.08) version of PCLOS with a GeForce GTX 550Ti video card and NVidia driver, it was apparent that the mouse
cursor was running off the screen to the right--way off, as a matter of fact. It was as if you had two monitors, one next to the other, and when
you moved the cursor to the right edge of your main screen, it showed up on the other. Much head-scratching and hair pulling until I accidentally
ran across this:
I was in the "Configure Your Desktop" application, looking to do something else, when I came upon "Display and Monitor-Display Settings."
There is a selection, "Unify Outputs" which I assume has something to do with having two video outputs--the HD-VGA and an HDMI. I hadn't even
considered that the card has two outputs. When I selected "Unify Outputs," I now only one real screen, of normal width. When the cursor gets to
the right hand end of the screen, it just stops there. I expect that the TV set, connected to the HDMI port, will have the same picture. Perfect!
