[PART SOLVED] Power Saving
« on: November 11, 2012, 05:14:33 PM »
Firstly I note recent posting on this subject http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,110439.0.htm in which kde4-noblank is mentioned.

As I have the same problem i.e. un-ticking the power saving options in the Energy Saving - System Settings wizard does not work, I checked to see if kde4-noblank was installed, which it was. I note on the wizard an option to Run Script on Profile Load. Does kde4-noblank have be to run to be effective?

Please note I'm new to Linux so don't quite grasp its inner workings  :-[

As an aside, can anyone tell me how to auto-run programs at startup?

Thanks

Configure your desktop (KDE control centre) - Startup and Shutdown - Autostart  .....  should get you going
