Hello,

The laptop is a Medion Akoya E7222 (D99030), 4GB RAM, 64-bit architecture
LiveCD loaded: KDE 2012-08 32-bit.

System loaded without any visible issues, desktop displayed, root/guest passwords displayed & accepted.
Then this:

Code: [Select]
KDE Crash Handler
KDE has crashed
kdeinit4 PID 5303 Signal: Aborted (6)
Backtrace:
The debugger application could not be launched.
The crash information could not be generated.

I could still start programs and the system almost behaved as if it was OK (Contol Center --
Manage Disk Partitions first crashed but seemed OK on second try).

I assume a 64-bit architecture would appreciate a 64-bit PCLinuxOS, but I only found the 32-bit LiveCD.

I'd be grateful for some hints...

That crash notice is a known issue with the liveCD and affects nothing as far as reports received indicate.

The OS installs, updates and works properly.
