UPDATE:

Well, I have been installing various applications in the virtualbox minime.

As I try then on another computer I choose the best ones and download then download/install them in virtual box .

I have to tell you this is a tedious task. Everything runs so slow that the fun is all out of it and I am thinking of abandoning the virtual machine idea. Since I am trying each thing on another computer I might as well just install minime on the other computer and add the applications as I decide that I like them.

I started this to be a fun project. It is no longer fun.

Is very strange, first you had problems using VB and now is slow.

I really don't understand, I'm using VB for several remasters and works fine, maybe a hardware incompatibility in your machine since I don't have a special configuration Intel MoBo (don't remember the model, will post it later) using an I3; GEForce GT 520 with 512 MB; 2 GB RAM

Could be interesting to know your specs and ask if others have had problems using similar components.

Ironic isn't it. First I can't get it to work, and now it is too slow.
THe computer I am using this is on is older and only has 1.25GB Ram.
I suppose that could be the problem.
On the more powerful computer. 4 GB and i3 processor I can't get it to load at all. That was going to be the computer that  I made the remaster of Minime in the virtualbox. Nothing I tried allowed me to get it working.
So I did it on the slower computer and it was just taking too long. I don't know the reason.

I wiped the PCLinuxOS partition on the older one and have installed Minime on that and will start adding things to it. Just seemed to be the best way out for me at this time.
However, as it seems with me, I get another unusual problem. I am about to start a thread on it.

After install, everything seemed good to go. I was able to update and start adding a couple applications.

Well, all of a sudden my internet connectivity icon disappears from the right hand panel.
Can I find it? NO !
I hate when I can't figure something out. I always exhaust every search both in the forum and Google and my own trail and error.
Nothing I could find searching the forum was of any help.
So now I will ask the masses to help me with another one of my STUPID problems.
