Remembrance Sunday
« on: November 11, 2012, 06:30:47 AM »
Did any forum members observe the 2 minutes silence?

Services  have/will place across the world as people fall silent for 2 minutes to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

+1 All respect to those that served. The least we can do.
There is a 5th dimension, beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!

In my church I was the organist for the morning's worship service and the plan was to sing our national anthem right after the service.  Since the service ended a couple of minutes after 11am our pastor decided right then for us to observe one minute of silence after which I lead the congregation in singing our anthem "O Canada."

To all who served and to those who kept the home fires burning for those who served, I humbly give honor to all of you.  It doesn't matter where you served, when you served, or how you served, you deserve to be honored.

To those guys & gals that served/serve or country deserve our utmost respect.

We sit here on our computers in comfort... while they may well be putting their lives on the line.

Thanks to them, one and all..!!!

One of the few things I've learnt as growing older.  Is to choose your battles.. but never loose sight of the war..!

The definition of a veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country, for an amount of 'up to, and including, his life.'

I salute all my comrades in arms, past, present, and future, and I lift my glass in silent toast to those whose checks were cashed in full, far too early.
