raed, if you're still around...you have at least two repositories checked off [vim AND heanet] according to the pic you posted! Make sure you only check one repository before you reload.

vim repositories for megagames

Maybe try a different repo - heanet.ie is normally reliable, and also make sure  only one repo is selected which is the right way to use it. (megagames is the only other repo that can be enabled along with a repo)

Having both is valid , as ' vim ' is the repo for games , etc.
it does not contain the core and appz which are on heanet ( or any other )

This issue is beyond the control of the developers. From time to time there will be problems with mirros not syncing properly. If you use such mirrors, the approach to the issue is to alert the maintainers of the mirrors.

Now if the problem is at ibiblio, our lead developer, Neal will contact the ibiblio admins ... but again the issue is not with the PCLinuxOS developers and with such a point stated, highlighted and underline, we are unable to do anything about it until the issues are resolved at the mirrors or at ibiblio itself. The only actions we can take is to contact and report to the ibiblio admin of any issues. And if I am right in saying, mirrors are not our concerns.

We hope this explanation will be taken into consideration the next time such a related issue is reported.

Xenaflux if you look closely at his picture of his repo for vim you will notice something is wrong with it. In one of the listings it shows the section "megagames" which is indeed correct but in some of the others it is also showing the sections "Release" and "megagames release" which are not correct. You will also not that when he was able to download he had removed the vim repository.  That would suggest that indeed his vim repository is somehow in error.

@raed you might check the /etc/apt/sources.lst and see if your vim repository reads something like this

Code: [Select]
rpm http://ftp.vim.org/ibiblio/distributions/pclinuxos/megagames/apt/ pclinuxos/2010 megagames

or in synaptic looks like this

Archie, this does not look like an issue with the mirrors being in sync. It appears more like a problem in his sources.lst file. If you look closely at his window when his updates fail you will see the vim line in twp different places are using the sections "release" and "megagame release" neither being correct. The coreect section is ONLY "megagame".  Perhaps his sources.lst has somehow been corrupted or has been changed.
