(Android) #DroidRage Campaign Back Fires On Microsoft
« on: December 08, 2012, 07:09:04 AM »
When the folks behind marketing Microsoft’s Windows Phone asked Android users on Twitter to share “malware horror stories” Wednesday using a #DroidRage hashtag, it’s safe to assume they expected a positive response from some malware-plagued users.

Others might say they were just asking for it.

Twitter users showed up en masse to spread the #DroidRage hashtag, but the campaign looks to be backfiring on the Windows Phone team.

Do a web search using DroidRage as the search term and you'll find countless posts about it

serves them right.

are they thinking Windows Phone will get away without malware when it's practically the same as desktop Windows?

While Google searching the above I came across this, from Forbes, offered this as an analogy of how those who started this campaign might be faring.

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?

Excellent find O-P. Reminded me of a well-spoken Blaster Bates.
