Have you got it in .rpm version?
I would greatly appreciate it if you'd be able to send it to me.
There are several ways to do so.

Here while there is still:
http://mirror.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/mirror/pclinuxos/pclinuxos/apt/pclinuxos/2010/RPMS.nonfree/google-earth-6.2.1.6014-2pclos2012.i586.rpm

But this is not 6.2.2.6613. If you need is 6.2.2.6613, I can put somewhere.

Currently online is very slow for me. Each message sent to 40 minutes. :o >:(

Serj, please!, greatly appreciated!

              Thanks in advance, Cheers, Hoos.

Atolboo: I had read your post and thanks for your suggestion,
but I'd rather have the latest working version for educational purposes.
Thanks anyway.

          Cheers gentlemen.

Atolboo, googleeartLinux.bin is version 6.0.1,
I know that.
But this version is available for everyone (as backup) from the google server.
And as long as it does what it is supposed to do, I don't mind ;)

You can still find Google Earth 6.2.2.6613 in sites like Softpedia but the packages are the ones provided by Google (.deb and .rpm), not PCLinuxOS specific.

Yes I know, but when you download them they also appear to be 7.0.1.

@serj
Thanks for uploading that older version of GE. My newest Sony VAIO just did not want to play with version 7. I downloaded your version, installed using rpm-installer and had it working properly in no time.

I've posted this on another thread about Google Earth problems, I will make the suggestion again here: why don't bring back to the repos the previous version alongside the new one (like in the Flash Player case). Can a package be reported as broken when it works for some people and not for others?
