Innovation at Apple is 'Sputtering', Says Analyst
« on: November 05, 2012, 07:33:58 AM »
"Some consumers criticized Apple when the iPhone 5 was revealed; apart from its height, the smartphone arguably didn't feature any major improvements over the iPhone 4S. The iPad 4, meanwhile, instilled even more anger into customers; Apple only released the third-generation iPad seven months ago, with the next-generation iPad hardly offering anything new apart from an improved A6X processor, better front camera, and the lightning connector. An analyst has agreed with concern over such products, with innovation at Apple "sputtering"."

i am sure that nothing released by apple has been innovative, they usually are the first ones to do something

a ipad is just put together a group of pieces and install a os in it, something done before in the past(but ipad is nicer and more popular)

i can't remember a company being innovative by creating a product since the invention of the car, that was innovative

or the invention of the radio but technology this days could be called creative, creative use of existing resources and technologies

what is innovation?
"If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe."

it's taking someone else's idea and doing something interesting with it, like stealing the setup from xerox parc (before bill could get his dibs on it) and calling it your own.

I've said it before:  When Apple can't innovate, it litigates.

Sooner or later, the resources wasted on litigation choke any potential for further innovation, too.  It's a vicious cycle.  A debate-ably once great force in the tech sector will soon be spotted circling the drain alongside their one-time senior partner, Microsoft.

As one green Jedi Knight once said, "Once you give in to the Dark Side, dominate your destiny forever, it will. Ummm"

We all seen it coming, revamped ipads,i pods,i phones ect with nothing new for the consumer, win 8 from m$ spewing the latest and greatest,in this unsteady environment they need to revert back instead of trying to fleece people for the latest and greatest and offer comprehensive support to the people who have already paid hard earned cash for their previous products.

And when something new comes along that is new then all well and good ;)
