Hi to all,
I have 2012.08 running well, all updated.
However kmail2 uses all 4 cores of the cpu, at 99% when removing duplicate files (which I seem to get very frequently with kmail2).
I have about 50,000 emails some of 35000 in one folder. It can now take kmail2 some hours (perhaps 3 or 4)to search for duplicate files and it drives my home folder crazy..very active
The system has sata3 drives and boots on SSD which also only has root and home on it.
4Gb ram and an Nvidia video card.
Any thoughts on why this should happen?
As always your thoughts on this matter gratefully received.

I am still trying to get kmail2 to remove duplicate files.
when I click on remove duplicate files, the cpus immediately run up to 99% (all 4) the home folder becomes very busy, but even when the cpus return to 1 or 2% usage the duplicate are still there!!!
Is there any way to accomplish this operation successfully?
