devede
« on: November 03, 2012, 12:10:23 PM »
After updating i have a problem with devede,i have not used it for some time so maybe i have a setting wrong that has changed.
I used to convert avi to dvd with devede using the menu feature and all was ok,now i convert an avi file and make menu then burn to disc
and it just sits there, looping the menu title,in the dvd player the name is there but will not play.I tried to do it without the menu and after the convert it said failed to******* something or other,
maybe you have run out of space.
Any help
thankyou

I did the same thing recently. This was the first time I created a DVD with a title and I thought that I messed it up. The title kept looping.

I found out that I needed to click on the title to get the video to start. I hope it works for you.

Thanks but the title is there and will not let me click on it,same as the burned dvd ,it just sits there doing nothing in the player,i have used devede a lot in the past with upto 3 menu titles and it was always ok,click on any title and it played, now it just shows the menu and repeats the menu,i try clicking and nothing, burned dvd in player just shows title and will not play.
I know something is wrong because i always check if the conversion has gone ok by using VLC to play the iso that i have created, and it did not play i carried on and burned a dvd just to check it out,now the dvd looks fully burned but will not get passed the title, using the iso with vlc and still the same.

And it is not the avi file that is at fault because i have managed to do it using avitodvdfree with my daughters winxp puter :'(

I did think that it was my burner, but because the conversion failed while testing using vlc i think i have other problems and not my burner

It seems to only affect certain files, for instance to check the files that it won't work with use the preview function.
When i did it i get the Mencoder bug error which is rather annoying cause I too use this program A lot. I too made more than one tile at once because it uses so little resources. I hope they get the Kinks out lol
