<Fixed>Gimp Display Font Size
« on: November 03, 2012, 11:44:14 AM »
The font for menus in the current Gimp is to small. I believe this is a GTK problem. I use to have it many years ago in Debian on Firefox using the KDE desktop. Back then there was a setting in the KDE control center for adjusting GTK fonts. I don't find it in the current KDE control center. I know it doesn't appear till the GTK theme engine is installed but I'm not sure how to do that in PCLOS. Or maybe the GTK theme engine is installed but when I tried
Code: [Select]
kemshell kcmgtk I got not found.

I looked in Preferences in Gimp and saw nothing to adjust the application fonts. I do have the default theme not the small theme selected. Adjusting KDE System fonts doesn't help.

Here is an old image of what I use to see in the KDE Control Center.

Ray2047,

I am not at my KDE machine(s) now so can't advise you on GTK fonts. However, I notice that there is a reference in LXDE under Configure your LXDE Desktop to "GTK and Icon Theme".

Thanks, but I don't use LXDE  so I doubt it will help me much in KDE.

Using LXAppearance for my GTK settings on my install.
No extra dependencies are needed.

Using KDE4 as default desktop.

I installed it but it didn't help with Gimp. Thanks for trying.

Found it. I needed to install "GTK-KDE4". That puts an entry in the KDE Control Center.

Note: It does remove Oxygen but that doesn't seem to be a problem for me.
