Well, for one and another reason, I effected a clean re-installation of PCLOS today. (Re-installation is a quick and easy process.) Every program I had tried and used, which worked perfectly before, has been put back and still works perfectly.
All but that @$#%!! palimpsest (Gnome Disk Utility).
Will someone be able to upgrade the dependencies on which the Gnome Disk Utility depends such that its newest version will work properly in PCLOS?
In my former installation, I was able to "downgrade" as instructed but then, a day or two later, when I ran the update in Synaptic, the "downgrade" was "upgraded!"
I hope that someone can fix this problem - and by a fix I do not mean "downgrading" anything.
By the way, in my latest X-----u version (12.10), the Gnome Disk Utility (now named "Disks") looks different but otherwise functions as it had previously.
