I would be very surprised if an OSX driver (BSD kernel) would work on a Linux kernel.I am also surprised you can't select your printer from the menu in CUPS or PCC, since it sounds a common enough model. Are you sure it isn't listed?
Another thing to try might be the 3.4.11 kernel in testing, which might have support for newer printers than the current kernel.

That's because you haven't selected "Linux" as your operating system. You're asking for drivers for no OS at all, and they don't exist!If you had followed my link, rather than your own, this would have been done for you.
