Rekonq Questions
« on: October 30, 2012, 09:07:45 AM »
#1 Is there any way to set the default Zoom to greater then 100%? I know how to adjust it but the setting reverts to 100% when reopened. I know nothing about CSS  but maybe a user style sheet?

#2 How do you save passwords? I am not asked when entering a password.

#3 Spell check: Is there any way to see which words are misspelled without right clicking every word? I see no underline such as in FF and Opera.

The above are the three major problems I have with Rekonq. I am using 1.2. I've looked in help but didn't see the answers to my questions. KDE fully updated.

Thanks in advance.

Dunno about making over 100% zoom as default but here's some ways to quickly use Zoom: Ctrl+Y to toggle the zoom slider or on a webpage you can Ctrl+= to zoom in and Ctrl+- to zoom out.

Have you checked ... right side of the address bar is a wrench. Click it > Configure Rekonq > Privacy > Remember passwords for sites? There's a whole lot more settings you can tweak.

Same Configure Rekonq > Advanced > Automatic Spell Check.

Rekonq Userbase Wiki may not be a complete documentation but it well worth going over.

Thanks Archie:

#1 One of the reasons I Use Opera is I can set a default Zoom of more then 100% as default. I have one forum I visit often (not PCLOS) When font is set large enough to read easily at 100% zoom letters are cut off, not fully formed, but by using 150% zoom  and smaller font I can get the font to fully display. Might use Rekonq if I can do that but already tested and I have the same font problem with Rekonq at that site.

#2 I know the wrench but didn't see the password setting.

#3 I have spell-check checked and it will check a word I right click on but it does not indicate which words are not correctly spelled with an underline or highlight they way FF and Opera does. When you spell as bad as I do and make as many typos without an indicator I'd have to check every word with two or more letters.
