I friends,

after change my SSID and password the Red Center don't show any wifi red. However if I do right button at the net aplet I can see all the available reds, select the new one and set the new password, but don't connect...

PCLINUXOS LXDE is my main distro but I have other partition with Crunch Bang and I could select the new SSID without problems, I have a netbook with PCLOS too and I could select the new one without problems.

What happens?

Help please...

Thanks

yes, pclinux is a bit stubborn when you change password, can you change ssid too? so system takes new ssid and password?

you can select the old ssid and edit it, delete the old password and put the new one, sometimes system refuses to accept new password and you need to restart system, no idea why but that is what i do here when i play with firmwares on my router

Hi T6,

I can't see any red at the red center but I can change the SSID and password of the old one at Net Applet...

open the terminal, log in as root and then run this command and give your output

iw XYZ scan

where "XYZ" is the network interface.

to discard install errors you can do a fsck, test the partition and correct errors, this has to be done from the livecd or liveusb

when i see weird restarts and can't find the reason, i start looking on the hardware side

psu, mainboard, hard disk, ram and other hardware but if is working well now, don't worry much about it
