Yesterday I downloaded the updates for KDE. Today I'm at the library and was testing the wi-fi here cause sometimes it works well and sometimes it sucks rocks. So I ran apt-fast and noticed a list of stuff held back from upgrading:
akonadi (1.7.2-2pclos2012 => 1.8.0-1pclos2012)
kate-part (4.8.3-2pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
kde-graphics-kamera (4.8.3-2pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
kde-graphics-kgamma (4.8.3-2pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
kde-graphics-kolourpaint (4.8.3-2pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
kde-graphics-ksaneplugin (4.8.3-2pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
kde-runtime (4.8.3-6pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
kde-runtime-nepomuk (4.8.3-6pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
kde-utils-kwallet (4.8.3-2pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
kde-workspace-core (4.8.3-5pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
kwrite (4.8.3-2pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
pykde4 (4.8.3-1pclos2012 => 4.9.2-1_archie_2012)
So fired up synaptic and searched/marked all packages for re-installation. Updated,rebooted and then went back into synaptic and searched 4.8.3-2 as version and only found KDE multimedia core as being 4.8.3-2.
