[FIXED] Kget not installing
« on: October 27, 2012, 08:46:28 PM »
I just updated to 4.9.2 from the ftp.nluug.nl mirror and during the update synaptic removed Kget, I figured no big deal, I'll just install it later. But it doesn't want to install synaptic reports:

kdenetwork-kget:
 Depends: libkgetcore.so.4
Depends: libktorrent.so.5  but it is not installable,

Anybody have a solution?

Other wise the update went flawless.

Peace

EDIT This is no longer a problem, the rpms were corrected and are on the repos now. A big thank you goes out to Neal ManBear and Archie.

Can you check the release of kdenetwork-kget that got installed?

Nothing was installed, when I did the update synaptic said it was to be removed, problem with deps. So after the update,I rebooted and reloaded synaptic and tried to install Kget, but it was a no go.

Sorry. what I meant was the version-release of the kdenetwork-kget that was selected to be installed.

The thing is you need to check whether the repo version of libktorrent is 1.3.0 and kdenetwork-kget is 4.9.2-2.

The thing is you need to check whether the repo version of libktorrent is 1.3.0 and kdenetwork-kget is 4.9.2-2.

Ibiblio shows me

libktorrent (version 1.3.0-1_archie_2012)

If I mark to reinstall kget it shows as

kdenetwork-kget (version 4.9.2-2_archie_2012) will be re-installed
libktorrent (version 1.3.0-1_archie_2012) will be re-installed

That package (1.3.0) is from Archies dropbox, not from the repository, IMO.

I agree with you  Just17, I just loaded the ibiblio repo and tried to install Kget and got the same errors.

Got word from Neal that those files were already processed as pclos2012 RPMS and were already uploaded but somehow vanished or deleted or disappeared. Neal is already aware of the issue.
