Address bar?
« on: October 22, 2012, 06:06:14 PM »
Ya know how windows has an address bar that can be toggled on within the toolbar? You then type in a search term, etc.a when you hit enter, a web browser launches and your results are displayed on a search engine page.

Do we have something like that?  I checked widgets but didn't see anything.

different programs have different toolbars and they have different entries.

you are looking for this functionality on what program or what set of related programs?

Just curious if I could put an address bar in a tool panel.

It might not be what you're looking for bu if you are using KDE, try this.

Press Alt+F2 and on the Run Command type, http://pclinuxos.com/forum ... your browser (I'm using chromium-browser) should open a tab of our support forum.

Excellent!  Close enough.:)  Any way to put that on the desktop or have it permanently displayed in a panel?
