New install - I can't find Kmail
« on: October 22, 2012, 04:19:51 PM »
I've just installed PCLinuxOS from a live CD, and I can't find Kmail.  I've used PCLOS before and had no problems, but I can't find Kmail in the package list or in the applications menu in KDE.

My install is the default install.  I noticed when I reloaded synaptic, I got a message that said that there was a problem with the repository.  The repos are: http://ftp.vim.org/ibiblio/distributions/pclinuxos/megagames/apt/  and  http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/pclinuxos/apt/

When I did an update, it seemed to work OK.

What have I done wrong?

Rene34,

Look for KDEpim.  It's in there.

If it jams, force it.... if it breaks, ... it needed to be replaced anyway!!

Also,  do your "sections" in Synaptic / Settings / Repositories have "kde4" as one of the sections?  It should be "kde".

Mine looks like:  main updates nonfree kde games
