Hello there,
I have been putting off

following Textars advice to upgrade KDE here[http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,108162.0.html] as I am not sure that the full monty light installed over KDE 4.6.5 from synaptic will be affected. I don't want to have to reinstall the whole lot again or make a new user again. I had to do this on a major update earlier this year and it took ages to get the desktop back.
I have updated all the other programs in Synaptic to date and only the KDE updated packages are now left.
Does anyone know if the process is straightforward for Full monty light users?
Any advice gratefully received before I "update all" in synaptic.
Everything seems to be working at present except for Gimp that seems to have ".gimp-2.6 and .gimp-2.8" folders in the home directory and is getting confused with the warning : To avoid data loss, please check the location and permissions of the swap directory defined in your Preferences (currently "/home/
user/.gimp-2.8"). This I am sure is another problem that I have not worked out yet.
Thanks
