hey guys, I was wanting to download a couple of things from KDE-look.org, and when I did, I figured out that I do not know how to install any widgets on linux  think you guys could help me out?

Use Synaptic and search for plasma-applet-icontask.

We really discourage especially new users from installing stuff outside our repository for obvious reasons. But Linux is about choice and breaking the balls and chains that limit our freedom to choose ...

so right click anywhere on the desktop and make sure you do not have Unlock Widgets. If you have already done that right-click again and select Add Widgets. The Widget showcase display should appear. Click Get new Widgets > Download New Plasma Widgets. On the Search box type your search keyword, and when you find what you are looking for, just click Install. Easy.
