"Cannot open: file:///home/jimlw1/Pictures/kamerka/image1.png"

Changed to save in "Pictures" and that is working.

I can get by without "cheese" and "kamoso" so I used synaptic to completely remove both.

Could you copy and paste the terminal output from this command

cat /etc/apt/sources.list | grep rpm
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think you were interested in the following two lines, not the complete sources.list.

rpm http://ftp.vim.org/ibiblio/distributions/pclinuxos/megagames/apt/ pclinuxos/2010 megagames
rpm http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/pclinuxos/apt/ pclinuxos/2010 main updates nonfree kde games xfce4

All other lines were "#" - remarked.

I sometimes use this line:

rpm http://ftp.nluug.nl/ibiblio/distributions/pclinuxos/pclinuxos/apt/ pclinuxos/2010 main updates nonfree kde games xfce4

in place of this line:

rpm http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/pclinuxos/apt/ pclinuxos/2010 main updates nonfree kde games xfce4

Thank you very much for your time and patience and to ALL others involved.

To me, this problem is SOLVED, or maybe I should say "RESOLVED"

Maybe the 'kamerka' sub-folder did not exist? .....  or had incorrect permissions .....

Glad you found a solution  ;)
