[Solved] Live-USB creator outside PCLOS.
« on: October 18, 2012, 12:55:32 PM »
Is there a program with which a user can make a Live-USB from a pclinuxos-kde-2012.08.iso in a non-PCLOS OS ???
I have tried UNetbootin and Mandriva Seed pour Linux (for hybrid-iso), both without success :'(
It looks like the pclos.iso doesn't fit in one of the two categories regular used in Linux.

I have created liveUSB's with Unetbootin in the past. I believe it is compatible with PCLinuxOS...
What exactly is your problem?

Unetbootin should work OK.

You could also convert the PCLOS ISO to a Hybrid ISO and use it with the other prog.

Also the ISO could be 'burned' to a complete USB drive using the 'dd' command.

I did previously test it with Unetbootin and it didn't work then.
Just finished Pardus vervangen door PCLinuxOS..
And will test UNetbootin again.

It's now working with UNetbootin.
