Malware..Dummy me
« on: October 17, 2012, 11:01:52 AM »
While using my PCLinuxOS notebook, I received an email in Thunderbird which was a Linked-In spoof.  I hit, the link, Firefox launched and nothing happened.  The browser launched, but no page displayed.  I realized at that point it must be something bad.  sSo, I closed out.

I then lanched Opera and tried the link there (I was curious) and got this:

Visiting this page may be harmful. It has been reported for distributing malicious software.

Opera Software strongly discourages visiting this page.

So, it was malware.  Do you think Firefox was compromised?  Maybe I should clear out all cookies.
