I have a situation where in I have to reconfigure Bluetooth dial-up networking each boot. I thought having a look at the text files which hold the configuration related to this may give some clue.

Currently I have a Nokia E6-00 Anna phone with a 3G enabled Idea Cellular SIM card in India. About a month back I used to go with KPPP and get a connection. But in the last month network is refusing authentication for this connection.
However, opening PCC > Network and Internet > Manage your network devices > Set up a new network interface > Bluetooth dial-up networking and following on succeeds in connecting. Problem is that the next time I reboot, I have to go through this process again to connect. Just clicking on the network icon in the system tray does not work. So I thought a look at the configuration files may give some clue.

Any ideas are welcome.

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts

text files dealing with interface properties start with ifcfg-<interface>
.. 3 things are certain in life : death, taxes and software bloat ..
.. tell me something i don't know, something i can use as i struggle to reason with the world around me ..
