ProjectM: Vlc & Clementine
« on: October 13, 2012, 07:27:19 AM »
Hello !
I have understand because vlc crash to enable projectM: the cause is a wrong reference to a font in vlc.
In vlc settings: all settings, audio/visualization/projectm and to change the fonts in:
/usr/share/projectM/fonts/Vera.ttf
and
/usr/share/projectM/fonts/VeraMono.ttf
(i'm sorry if it is unclear but i have vlc in italian language).
After to reboot vlc and projectm works in vlc  ;)
Clementine i think it is same problem but i can't understabnd to change the reference to the fonts  :(
If i understand this way i'll write here  ;)
Bye

Ah!  That explains it .....  projectM does not appear to be available for VLC 2.0.1 in the repository.

Maybe because it is test repository  ???

I don't know ......  but most of the other plugins are built into the VLC 2.0.1 package IIUC

I am working on vlc 2.0.3 and there are several options that were not included in 2.0.1. My rpm builds projectm, but I don't even know what it does to test it. :-[ I am still trying to work out the multiple version of liblua, so the skins work for both the 32 and 64bit versions. I think I will be able to submit all of these packages today. (Cross my fingers. ;) )

Hi,

The above has some successful info for ProjectM, everything
from extra quotes removed to changing the start command.

Ghostbunny was working on the ProjectM standalone package.
So here's a number of threads one-click away.   Somewhat helpful
hopefully.
