<Solved>avi to vob or DVD
« on: October 07, 2012, 03:41:47 AM »
Hi  to all,
First let me apologize  if this has been asked before.
How can I convert and avi file to a dvd compatible player file.
I have spent 3 days trying to get 64 bit test 5 to pickup and send emails from kmail On an ACER 9305WSMI system,so I am tired and cannot find any thing to do the conversion.
Kmail is now working but I have now been asked to convert avi to a dvd compatible file for a player, preferably within test 5 -64.
Your thoughts on this subject gratefully received.

I'm not sure what you want to do.
You have an .avi file that doesn't play in a dvd player and you want to convert it to another format that the dvd player will recognize?
Or you want to make a dvd disk with the .avi file for the same purpose?
For the whole world, you are someone.
For someone, you are the whole world.

DVDAuthor
ManDVD  ........  I recommend this one

and others will build a DVD file structure and re-encode if necessary the avi file.

I use DeVeDe it is one of the easiest DVD authoring apps I have found and the results are most impressive.

Format Factory works flawlessly in wine.
