have new samsung laptop with hdmi output.I have loaded task-pulse audio and pavucontrol and have enabled pulseaudio in sound. Run a sound test with the hdmi sound driver and it works on hdmi output (lcd tv)Yet when I watch movie no audio to tv.When i click on pulse audio control is says connection fails/connection refused. Please tell me oh great ones where have I failed .

No idea what might have caused it .....  but PA needs to be functioning correctly, so the best thing is a reboot and then check PA is working by launching PA Vol Control.

Leave it open and play a video, monitoring the Output tab of PA Vol Ctrl and ensure the audio stream is being directed to the HDMI output device.

Do you start your system with hdmi plugged in or plug it while the system is on?
