Phoenix Edition Weather Update Panel Applet
« on: October 03, 2012, 03:35:42 PM »
I have an unusual problem. I am using PCLinuxOS Phoenix Edition (Xfce) and I have installed the Weather Update panel applet and have configured it for my location.

Within the applet, there is a choice as to how one can have the temperature displayed: Metric (Celsius) or Imperial (Fahrenheit).

Since I am from the "old school" here in the United States, I have chosen Imperial.

However, the reading is still displayed in degrees Celsius. I cannot seem to make this applet display the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit.

While I can approximate degrees F by multiplying the degrees C number by 3.24, I would like to have the degrees F displayed in my panel.

Do any other users of PCLinuxOS Phoenix Edition have the same problem?

Has anyone figured out how to get the applet to display degrees F?

Thanks for any help.
