Android 4.0.3 and Pclinuxos connections problem
« on: October 02, 2012, 12:17:41 PM »
Hi all. I set up access from Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 to a PC through of USB. I used this manual http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1077572. But I see only empty folders without files and when I try to copy a file error occurs. What to do? There is also a problem with the transfer of files over bluetooth.

hello and welcome to the forum!

the device is being mounted as a usb mass storage device or as a mtp device?

verify that on the galaxy device

also, does it have a microsd? unmount it and mount it again

if it is internal memory restart the device and try again

in general with android 4.0 is easier to use airdroid and avoid this problem

when a USB cable is plugged in my Galaxy phone offers three options

Samsung Kies
Media Player
Mass Storage

Select Mass Storage then 'Connect' which allows full access and the Phone appears in Dolphin Places.

Thanks for the advice. But none of them helped. I decided to use the AirDroid to transfer files via wi-fi

^^^ and another one is Total Commander + LAN plugin + FTP plugin.
It's similar to Krusader and allows transferring files/directories from the left to the right side window in Total Commander.
The requirement is that FTP/Samba is configured in MCC.

That is what I use to transfer movies to my Android Tablet. Works great!
