I left off info in last post

the small image I mention looks like cashew but small with the word Full Monty next to it 3 inches from far right edge  at top of screen
Clicking does nothing hovering the mouse pointer produces tool tip   saying Too;box etc but it is harmless.
It does not appear on any of the other desktops.
On my personal system I have increased desktops to 10
Various kinds, in fact every kind possible cashew toggel has no Ill effect on any of them. I have tested and tested to make sure
Again thank you Pinoc.

please test the updated version 0.3, check here, and report back in that thread.
thanks!

I did rpm -e for the old  toggelcashew and Rpm -i  installed the new one everything is perfect.
I did all the tests I mentioned in an earlier post and found no problem.
I also installed  clean-nak but as I keep well away from creating more activities could not do a valid test.
I ran clean_nac and checked if any problems . non found.

All is well Pinoc
I know that the problem of the six FM screens disappeared from veiw was caused by user  inadvertently creating activities (lots of them one for every random click) so Clean_nac will be a great help in restoring the users FM desktops.

Very grateful  thanks.

For some reason rpm -e would not work for me when trying to remove ver 0.1, but using rpm -U allowed me to update it with 0.3 and it now works fine on both of my computers (both running 32bit).  I could not reply in your testing thread, so I'm leaving my report here.

Sorry to tack on the end of this Topic, I would post in the, "Testers Request: cleanup New Activities" thread but I'm not a tester.

pinoc,
the togglecashew patch from Synaptic works well [PCLinuxOS KDE 4.8.3 Minime], although the screen blanks whilst the change is made for about two seconds. That's fine.

Installed 'clean_nac' which I saw in "Software Announcements".

I have no idea how to rename my cashew which is called "New Activity" ?

Open Activities .....  click on the 'Spanner' icon to attached to the globe activity icon .....  and then edit the name by clicking into the text box and Apply.

Click on the Cashew and select Activities.
In activities panel click on the activity you wish to rename
A small "wrench" icon will appear in the right that allows you to configure the selected activity.

Aha, the Old "click on the 'Spanner' icon" trick !

I've a dozen 'New Activities', which as I have a choice, surely will delete them.

Thankyou very much, Dorian.

EDIT: Thankyou agmg, we posted simultaneously.  ;)

Shall Try now.

I have 10 New Activity 'Globes', do I have to rename them all ?

1.) I thought pinoc says to rename the 'Cashew'

Quote
In this sense this script is just a fix to keep your account free of excessive "New Activity" entries. For this reason, this script will only work if your current Activity (name of the cashew) is NOT called "New Activity", or in that case rename your current activity.

Only rename the one you are currently using and let the script clean all the rest... :)

I have 10 New Activity 'Globes', do I have to rename them all ?

Any that retain the name "New Activity" will be deleted by the 'nac' utility.

The new avtivity globes, which I renamed one as 'Go'.

And the failed script:

Maybe the pictures can say bestter than I can.

The activity you renamed must be the current activity (the one you are using).
What name does it read on the cashew? (you may have to pull it to be fully revealed).

For some reason I can't see your pictures  :-\
