You are not using the one you renamed ......  so rename the one you are using and try again 

by clicking on each in turn you should be able to determine which one is in use .....

Toggelcashew 0.3 installed and tested .It works perfectly.

I probably should have left this alone, I've never run an Activity.

Anyhow, I clicked the re-named Globe I called 'GO', and the desktop went to the Default, the cashew which is Rectangular since first running 'togglecashew' says GO, plus I have an "Active" dialogue Box this time as shown in next pic.

I said, "Yes."

OK !
Bit of Drama. Said Yes to 'nac' utility.
I Reset my Desktop as it was, too easy.

Then decided I'd "Hide the Cashew" (togglecashew)which is a rectangular ITEM, called, 'GO' now  as seen in PIC.

"togglecashew" blanked the screen - Ctrl+Alt+Backspace - Logged me out.

Logging in the 'Splash Screen' froze.

Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, got me to Login GUI from where I Re-Booted.

Was able to Login, seems stable.

Not a lotta fun, but the excess "New Activity" Globes are gone, ... well actually a right click on the Destop > Activities; shows me the two 'Globes' I renamed are present.

I must remember the second Activity doesn't have a Desktop,   which is all a bit Halloweeny, (black) however once the bugs have been swept this seems a workable method: "togglecashew", and 'clean_nac' .

Too tired to Grok the depths of reading which created the scripts, which I advise myself should be undertaken so I know what is going on, but that I'll do on the morrow.
