You are not using the one you renamed ......  so rename the one you are using and try again  ;)

by clicking on each in turn you should be able to determine which one is in use .....

EDIT:  Snap!  Again!  ;D

I probably should have left this alone, I've never run an Activity.

Anyhow, I clicked the re-named Globe I called 'GO', and the desktop went to the Default, the cashew which is Rectangular since first running 'togglecashew' says GO, plus I have an "Active" dialogue Box this time as shown in next pic.

I said, "Yes."

OK !
Bit of Drama. Said Yes to 'nac' utility.
I Reset my Desktop as it was, too easy.

Then decided I'd "Hide the Cashew" (togglecashew)which is a rectangular ITEM, called, 'GO' now  :P as seen in PIC.

"togglecashew" blanked the screen - Ctrl+Alt+Backspace - Logged me out.

Logging in the 'Splash Screen' froze.

Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, got me to Login GUI from where I Re-Booted.

Was able to Login, seems stable.

Not a lotta fun, but the excess "New Activity" Globes are gone, ... well actually a right click on the Destop > Activities; shows me the two 'Globes' I renamed are present.

I must remember the second Activity doesn't have a Desktop,  :o which is all a bit Halloweeny, (black) however once the bugs have been swept this seems a workable method: "togglecashew", and 'clean_nac' .

Too tired to Grok the depths of reading which created the scripts, which I advise myself should be undertaken so I know what is going on, but that I'll do on the morrow.

Hope you enjoyed the Pic's  ;D
