Dear all,

I have to reinstall my PCLOS due to some harddisk failure and the entire system crashed. luckily my data are stored in another partition so they are safe. After the reinstallation, whenever I open any file with non ascii characters inside the file name (eg Chinese characters), Dolphine will not open it. However I can still open the same file after renbaming it by using ascii characters only.

Also Dolphine cannot display those non ascii file name correctly and they are all garbled. However I managed to set up SCIM and is able to input Chinese characters without any problem.

Please help!!!

Thanks. Done (or almost done) by running addlocale. There are still some apps like Google Desktop which is stubbornly still using Simplified Chinese. Will probe further.
