Plan on a simple 64 bit PCLOS install.
« on: May 19, 2013, 12:25:35 PM »
I have an old HP Slimline s3301f that has been sitting in a corner for awhile. Plan is to pop in a spare hard drive (probably a 160GB) and install PCLOS on it. Basically make it a dual boot, linux only system.
The other OS will probably be from the LXF games dvd that I got with my latest copy of Linux Format. Seemd they made their own distro and it's loaded with games. More than likely the install will be 3/4's of the hard drive for PCLOS and the remainder for the games install.
The system will be more or less a fiddle farting around, learning system. This way I don't corrupt or totally ruin anything decent. The pc is going to start out with 2GB and max's out at 4GB of ram so it's not a big deal. But should be a decent set of training wheels.
What do you all think? ???

Looks like more than fine piece of hardware .
If it works out maybe you can add one low profile pci-e  video card and you could be rockin' !
