[Solved] Recommended zip compressor/decompessor
« on: September 25, 2012, 09:19:48 AM »
What would you guys recommend for zip files; also, what would be a good .rar compressor/ decompressor.

The reason I asked is because I did not see a default zip program in PCLinuxOS.

Why look at the world through a window when you can experience it?

Ark performs well and is pre-installed under Archiving, installing rarlinux and unrar from the repo will allow it to deal with these too

Before Ark is able to handle Windows zip files you probably have to install zip and unzip. At least they used to be needed. Both are in the main section of the 32 bit repo.

Thanks for the responses guys.  :)

I have only used windows for the most part (7zip and Rarzilla), so I didn't know what to use in Linux.

PCLinuxOS rocks  :D :D :D :D
