more broadcom insanity
« on: September 25, 2012, 08:20:48 AM »
on my hp-mini 110, i still can't run the 3.2.18 bfs kernel w/the dkms-broadcom-wl.5.100.82.112...

tried pinoc's steps outlined in this thread:
http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,106295.0.html
but it's still not working for me. right now i'm running 2.6.38.8 bfs + dkms-broadcom-wl.5.100.82.112 which sorta works, but drops out every now and again.

i hate to think i'll have to have some pinned setup, while the rest of the linux-world marches on.

any ideas?

thanks, abstract

Look in the Networking forum.

One fellow had to uninstall ndiswrapper because it
kept trying to install alongside the kernel installed
module.   Confirmed by looking at the tail end of dmesg.

Clues should be there then.
