[SOLVED] Is There A Way To Compare Folders?
« on: September 21, 2012, 05:11:02 PM »
I need to compare folders to insure they have the exact same files. But doing this manually is time consuming.

Is there a program that can tell me the difference between two folders? Something that scans the contents and reports differences in file size or in file numbers?

See man diff for details. If digital files are involved you could try faking it with the -a option. You'll need the -r option to dig into folders.

Installed Kdiff3 and it seems to do the job.  8)
