Haven't done this before, so maybe it isn't possible? Trying to transfer some data from son's external hard drive he set up on his desktop mac. When I plug in and try to open in dolphin, won't mount, says:
Could not mount the following device - Iomega HDD
Orgfreedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume.UnknownFailur
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock, on /dev/sdg3,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error in some cases
useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg|tail or so
When I put in dmesg|tail in konsole as root, got:
[root@localhost ME]# dmesg|tail
sd 15:0:0:0: [sdg] 3907029168 512-byte logical blocks: (2.00 TB/1.81 TiB)
sd 15:0:0:0: [sdg] Write Protect is off
sd 15:0:0:0: [sdg] Mode Sense: 10 00 00 00
sd 15:0:0:0: [sdg] Write cache: enabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA
sdg: [mac] sdg1 sdg2 sdg3 sdg4
sd 15:0:0:0: [sdg] Attached SCSI disk
mount: sending ioctl 5310 to a partition!
mount: sending ioctl 5310 to a partition!
hfs: invalid secondary volume header
hfs: unable to find HFS+ superblock
The external hard drive works fine for my son.
Any way to do this?
