The RestoreMyKDEdesktop script is obsolete and was only a temporary solution for the time when an updated kde4-config was messing up existing user-accounts.
The recent versions of kde4-config (any of the 3 versions which came out in the last 1-2 months) do not modify existing user-accounts or their desktops
=> there is no need to
a) backup ~/.kde4
b) setup/run any script or restore something that wasn't touched at all.
The KDE desktop settings are stored in ~/.kde4 , do not delete this folder because it contains your personalised settings.
In case you delete this folder then logout/login and the default KDE settings will be copied from /etc/skel/ into your user-account.
Should you find a ~/.kde4-new, -old, .bak, or whatever else then you can just ignore or delete that old stuff.
