Weird display program - can't get rid of it.
« on: September 20, 2012, 02:18:07 AM »
Hi, this is my first post so be gentle.  ;D

I've been tinkering around a bit in PCLinuxOS KDE MiniMe to set up things and I "accidently" made this thing show up in the top right corner of the screen and I simply don't know how I got it there or how to remove it and would appreciate a little help:

Hi NiklasAx - big welcome to the forum, nice to have you with us.

Its not an app/widget/viewer I'm familiar with............

Firstly, have you tried logging out and back in again to see whether it's still there?

If you right click (or hover the mouse) on top of the "mysterious"  ;D  viewer does it show a name and/or description? if it does what is it?

Have you installed anything from Synaptic or added any Widgets - if you have what were they?.

If it's a widget you may need to unlock them before it will allow it to be removed

You seem to have activated Show FPS.  In desktop effects.

You're welcome.  You can also get rid of the desktop name by unlocking widgets and grabbing the peanut-thingy and dragging it to the corner.

And welcome to the forum.
