Will KDE 4.9 come, or will we wait for 5.0?

Just wondering as some distros are already at 4.9.1.

PCLinuxOS is a distro aiming for stability first and for "the latest and greatest" second. This means that we may not always have the latest versions of every program out there, until they are tested enough to ensure they won't cause problems or break stuff when they appear in the repos. After all, stability has always been "number one" for PCLinuxOS and it is well known for it. Of course, this doesn't mean that we are falling behind other distros: all major apps are updated on regular basis and sometimes we have newest versions before everybody else:

If you really need "bleeding edge", then there are many other distros to try

Additionally, after 4.9.x it will be KDE 4.10

At the current time there are no plans yet for a 5.0 release of the KDE Plasma Workspaces and at least I do not see any reason to increment the first number even after the release of Framworks 5.  I expect that there will at least also be a 4.11 release before we start to think about version numbering for software based on Frameworks 5.

Stability - is gold.
KDE becomes stable when the last digit = 5 (ie 4.9.5).
