Got it installed and updated. I have searched forum for answers to following questions but didn't find the answers.

1. Why does libreoffice manager not work after deleting the weather plugin and re-installing lo manager?

2. Why do icons for all my partitions show up on the desktop and how do I keep them from showing up at boot?

3. I keep getting a message in synaptic (when checking for updates) about the repository might be out of date or not available. It doesn't seem to make any difference which repository that I have clicked. I only click one plus one game repository. Which repository can I choose and get a good update without the error messages?

Thanks,
Harold

Have you installed the apt-sources-list package, version 1.0.2? If not, follow the instructions here.

This is necessary whether you have any KDE applications installed or not. Synaptic will not work right until you change the kde4 section to kde.

You the man, Old-Polack! I don't see how your head can hold all the stuff you know. You were one of the first people to try and educate me about using linux over 5 years ago. Still doing a great job!

I wasn't even thinking of Phoenix having anything to do with KDE. I did that KDE change when I upgraded my KDE install from KDE 4.6 to 4.8. I will make that change in Phoenix.

Thanks,
Harold

We had some good chats back then, and I remember them well.  ;D
