Maybe... And our repository does not have the lastest version of the MESA.  :(

Hi Serj!

I do not use digiKam, but I have a similar problem.
If I run systemsettings in the console, and then open the Desktop Effects and navigate through the tabs, at the end of the console output I get is:

Code: [Select]
libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to find _glapi_get_proc_address
libEGL warning: GLX: failed to load GLX
libEGL warning: unable to load st_GL.so

I am inclined to believe this is the cause of some problems in my system.

Doing the same here I get:

Code: [Select]
libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to find _glapi_get_proc_address
libEGL warning: unable to load st_GL.so

Bye
Cris

I have posted in several of the posts about OpenGL screensavers and have only seen them closed out with some mombo-gumbo about xscreensavers.

The problem is NOT that.

Stellarium has also not worked for some time and the output from a terminal for both problems seems to be related.

[earl@new ~]$ stellarium
...
...
libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to find _glapi_get_proc_address
libEGL warning: GLX: failed to load GLX
libEGL warning: unable to load st_GL.so
...

* * *

[earl@new ~]$ /usr/bin/keuphoria.kss
libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to find _glapi_get_proc_address
libEGL warning: GLX: failed to load GLX
libEGL warning: unable to load st_GL.so
...

Earl

Never too old to learn.

I've used digiKam for a looooooong time and I've never had a single problem with the advanced slideshow until now. If I check Use OpenGL slideshow transitions, the slideshow starts but doesn't display anything other than a completely blank screen. If I un-check it, the slideshow works as expected. I've seen a lot of posts in here regarding OpenGL problems but nothing relating to digiKam. Does anyone have a solution please.

I'm not seeing this problem on either Mageia2/KDE4.8.5/digiKam2.6.0 or on Kubuntu12.04/KDE4.9.1/digiKam2.8.0
