[SOLVED] How to remove a vpnc connection?

Hello.  I recently installed a Cisco vpnc connection thinking in error that I required it.  I have completely removed the software but a *.conf file remains.  It is contained in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/vpn.d/vpnc.

When I right-click on the network applet in the system tray, it shows the vpnc connection.  If I select it, nothing happens.

I would like to remove all trace of it.  Can I simply delete the folder /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/vpn.d/vpnc and its only file (the .conf file) or is there something else I must do?  Will the system panic if it can't find the file and/or folder next time I boot it?

The system tools only configure connections; they do not provide for removal.

The folder /var/run/vpnc is empty.

If you do go the "delete folder route" I would suggest not deleting the folders/files but move them somewhere safe, that way you can put them back if reequired

Did you have a port opened that you need to close? .....  or a port forwarded that you need to cancel?

I don't know.  I ran two commands but the connection to the forum fails when I try to post the results.  I'll try pastebin.

No vpn processes are listed.
