We could all go and vote for other so that becomes the top distro...

Let's face it, all these polls are rigged in the sense only those who tell each other the poll exists will know they exist, and all they can ever measure is how keen users are to vote. If she wanted a more scientific way to measure relative popularity of distros among her readers, she'd use her server logs.

  • PCLinuxOS 2011 2 - KDE4
Come now - lets us face the real facts here - PClinuxOS will never be the most popular OS anyway.  It is only used by intelligent, good looking people with common sense.
How many of us are really out there?

Lucky for us we are not full time windows users - like this guy - he could use some Coffee and Bacon, rather then what he appears to be going for.

+1
I shall pass this way but once;
any good therefore that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show
let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

That would require a certain amount of innate intelligence which appears to be totally lacking in this instance.
As for polls, More often than not I find only one type holds any interest for me (and it is normally spelled differently ;) ;D)

I don't think it's possible to have a scientific on-line poll.  There's no such thing as a random sample.  All participants are a self-selected subset of the people you want to sample.  And a statistically significant percentage of respondents are quite happy to jack around with the replies in an attempt to skew the results.  That being the case, "disqualifying" a distro from a poll like this merely skews it in another direction.

There is a 5th dimension,beyond that which is known to man.It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity,between science& superstition,& it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge.This is the dimension of imagination.It is an area which we call PCLINUXOS!
