[SOLVED with FullMonty] Help! Love pclos but cant get camera or sd card reader.

I have been into the hard ware settings but not much joy, plus right clicked on the device notifier settings and set to "see/open all plugged in", but it still wont open a Panasonic camera and sd card in the generic reader..?
I am an newbie of sorts with KDE but been using Saluki which seems to see all..?  thanks for your help.;-)

Presume you are plugging the camera via a usb lead into the machine....

Have you tried digikam?

Might show up in dolphin.

Normally the device notifier pops up.

You might need to have the storage set in the camera to Mass Storage or some such, so that it is accessible via USB cable as a normal storage device.

Hi ,thanks for your suggestions. I have figured out why just the SD card in it's own is not reading. It's an HDSD card which is plugged into a 7 year old generic card reader.

So sorry for that one.

But the camera opens the notification box with "open with"/Digicam/Dolphin but it just cant mount it?
I'll have a look when I get home to see if there are any camere mass storeage options on it, but from knowlege it normally opens in windows as DCIM, which I beleived to be "mass storage mode?"??

Oh well I'll get ther soon!!
